ITEC is a well-recognised and respected qualification enabling graduates to practice in Ireland and EuropeHolistic Massage will include: -
· Full body massage, neck and shoulder massage, and hands, feet, head and face massage.
· Energy techniques and awareness
· Contraindications to massage, history of massage, physical and psychological effects and benefits of massage, referral procedures, the holistic concept and an introduction to alternative therapies.
· Professional Conduct and Business Awareness including all practical aspects of setting up and running a business, working from home, advertising, insurance etc.
· Anatomy & Physiology covers all the systems of the body including the Skeletal, Muscular, Circulatory, Lymphatic, Neurological, Endocrine, Digestive, Respiratory and Urinary Systems and the Skin
Anatomy & Physiology and massage modules may be taken separately.
Class numbers are strictly limited to ensure that the needs of all students are met, that each receives individual attention and that the learning experience is enjoyable.
Massage is so much more than simply easing tense muscles. It benefits clients' physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and has the power to bring very positive changes in their lives. Understanding of the holistic approach and the mind/body/spirit connection is a very important aspect of the course.
Times And Dates:
An evening course will commence on Wednesday 23rd September and run on Wednesday (A & P) and Thursday evenings (Massage) from 7.00pm to 10pm until March 2010
A morning course will commence on Monday 21st September and run on Monday (A&P) and Thursday (Massage ) mornings from 10am to 1pm until March 2010
There will be no class between Wednesday 16th December 2009 and Monday 11th January 2010.

The Healing House is a beautiful Victorian House a short walk from the city centre and easily accessible by public or private transport.
Exams
At the end of the course students will sit exams in Holistic Massage, Anatomy & Physiology and Business & Ethics. There will also be a practical massage exam and students must also submit 5 case studies.
Course Fees
Evening course €1850 (including handouts and required course books)
Morning course €1650 (including handouts and required course books)
A €600 deposit is required to secure a place. All fees are payable in instalments at no extra cost to students.
There is a reduced rate available for unwaged applicants.
